The Bridge Between Us Songwriting Challenge
Official Contest Rules
OVERVIEW
In partnership with The City of Olympia, The Bridge Music Project is hosting an online video song/verse-writing Contest! This project will include celebrity judges, publicity, and cash prizes.

THIS IS FOR EVERYONE:
You do not have to be a current Bridge member to be part of this contest. This challenge is for all skill levels. Even if you’re new at songwriting you should give it a shot! All styles of music are welcome. This is a supportive space to help you get creative.
TIMELINE:
All videos/music must be submitted by Friday June 11th at 8pm.
WHO CAN ENTER:
This project is open to everyone between 11 and 23 years old. The contest is broken into three categories,
· Middle School 11 to 14 years old
· High School 15 to 18 years old
· Young Adult 19 to 23 years old.
PRIZES:
The top winner in the each category will receive $100!
The prize money will be delivered via PayPal or Venmo.
Format:
Music/Beats:
Artists can:
· choose their own beat
· create a song with your own instruments

YOUR SONG/ VERSE:
· Your song must be original (no covers)
· Your song can be however long or short you want
· Multiple entries are allowed
· Please keep the content of your song appropriate for the whole community to hear. (No excessive cursing or lyrics related to sex, drugs or violence.) Give us the radio edit.
· Get deep, get fun. What’s on your mind right now? What do you have to say?
SUBMITTING YOUR SONG/ VIDEO
Once your song is finished, make a video of you performing it. You can film on your phone, computer or whatever you have to use.
After you have filmed your song, you can:
· Post the video to our FB Event page-https://www.facebook.com/events/463658118194427
· Upload it to YouTube and post the link to our FB Event page
· E-mail the video to bobby@bridgemusicproject.org

Gift of Gab from Blackalicious- Legendary Bay Area MC, known for songs such as “Alphabet Aerobics”.
Brad Fischetti of LFO- Member of the multi-platinum selling boyband, LFO.
Wanz - Grammy Winning Singer & featured artist on Macklemore’s, Thrift Shop. “I’m gonna pop some tags!”
